Interconnection of all things medical has exploded over the past decade. From wearables, to mobile apps, to interconnection of medical equipment and health records in hospitals, many are seeing great benefits from the aggregation of health information. However, the downside is the increasing threat surfaces that are exposed and the risk of data breach, or worse – patient harm, reaching unacceptable levels. In this talk, I will touch on some of the key areas that need to be considered in the development of connected health care technology.
