Clinical settings, especially the emergency room is a highly dense environment with a lot of patients and providers interactions. The implementation of medical record systems has enabled the capture and retrieval of patient medical history. Yet we miss the physical dimension of the patient journey. This talk focuses on the use of state-of-the-art real-time location system technology and applications in a high-dense emergency room. The use of such technology has been providing increased situational awareness and has demonstrated improve the quality and safety of care delivery.
