Using Data to Build a Healthcare Story

President's Room

3:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Historically, healthcare data has been limited to medical records. But the reality is that the factors that affect a patient’s health go far beyond what can be observed, tested, and documented in occasional office visits.

In this talk, we will explore the kinds of data available and how this data can be used to expand the individual level healthcare story. From there, we will explore the potential benefits to understanding this story, and consider some of the pitfalls and dangers. Throughout will be anecdotes from my experiences at Carrot Health, and the lessons we learned about building a product and company around this new paradigm.
